Northern European wood flooring factory regains competitiveness by entrusting part of its production process to China Link.
  
  Background

The client is a well known wood flooring factory in Europe.

The client faced decreasing market shares and profits due to growing imports from Eastern Europe and Asia.

  
  Challenge

Finding a reliable long term partner to become responsible for a good part of the production process.
  
  Solution

China Link adjusted its raw material, machining and packaging in order to meet the client's specifications. Grading for veneer, core layer and back layer was also adjusted to match the client's grading.

The client currently varnishes and cuts the T&G out of China Link's wood flooring planks. It then distributes the wood flooring under its own brand through its traditional channels.

  
  Benefits

The client has regained competitiveness by outsourcing part of the production processes to China Link. It now mainly focuses on branding and distribution. The client is reclaiming market share and increasing its profits as it is now able to compete with third country imports.
